Concrete Structures I
University of Sydney, Australia
About course
This course is based on using the Australian Standard AS3600 and focuses on the methods used to analyse concrete sections as well as design principles for concrete structures. The first part of the course begins by looking at the equivalent rectangular stress block and how it applies to moments and axial loading as well as looking at I values, stresses and deflections in cracked and uncracked sections. The second part of the course is the design of slabs and beams based on a moment envelope and the analysis of the structure subjected to earthquake loading.
