About course

This course provides a general introduction to the world of statistics, where the aim is to extract meaning from univariate and bivariate data. These set of videos will introduce the concepts and techniques for summarising experimental data obtained in various branches of science, engineering and commerce. The first part of this course covers the visualisation of relationships in different types of data, probability and regression, which will help you learn the basic methods in statistics. Following these topics will be the application of Binomial distribution as models for discrete data and the application of the Normal and Exponential distribution as models for continuous data. The last part of the course focuses on the different types of hypotheses tests and p-values for finding sufficient evidence for or against certain hypotheses.
